Pickles are a cucumber-based condiment that can be vegan or not, depending on how the pickles are made. Some vegan picklers add animal-based ingredients like eggs or fish sauce to the brine, but most vegans who make pickles simply soak sliced cucumbers in water and spices. Many people think of pickles as a condiment for hot dogs and hamburgers, but they’re also delicious on their own as a snack.

In order to determine whether pickles are vegan, it’s important to know what they are. Simply put, a pickle is a cucumber that has been preserved in brine (a liquid solution of water and salt). Pickles are typically eaten as a side dish or snack. They’re also a common ingredient in other foods such as cheeseburgers, sandwiches and potato salad.

Pickles have numerous health benefits, including being low in calories (with about 16 calories per half cup) and containing probiotics, which aid digestion and promote healthy gut bacteria. It will have no fish smell or taste when used this way.”
